There are two ways data travels from the internet router to devices: through WiFi or Ethernet cable. An Ethernet cable gives you an improved internet speed as it is a direct connection between your router and your devices, without dissipating any internet signals.

It supports data transfer of up to 10 Gigabits for a 328 feet distance. However, it comes in a hefty cable size and is more expensive than the regular CAT6 cable.
CAT7
CAT7 might sound like it is faster than CAT5e or CAT6, but you will be surprised to know that it isn’t. That is where the CAT8 cable steps in. The CAT7 technically isn’t an actual IEEE cable standard. It doesn’t even use RJ45 connectors, but proprietary connectors. Since it doesn’t have IEEE or EIA standardizations, which means every manufacturer will have a different cable to sell under the name of a CAT7 cable.
Therefore, it isn’t a smart idea to get a CAT7 cable since it comes with a lot of ambiguity. If you are looking for an affordable option, then a CAT6e cable is your way to go. If you want enhanced performance and have the money to pay for it, then a CAT8 cable is what you need.
